I've spent the last five years working across a lot of different stacks: .NET/PHP with React SPAs, Spring Boot microservices, Ruby on Rails, event streams, and the databases underneath them. Regardless of stack, I believe end users deserve software that works, and that works well.

A little more about me.

Hi! I'm a software engineer based out of Fort Collins, Colorado and I've worked on accruals software at Paycom, on the auth behind Angi's digital marketplace, on background checks at Checkr, and on GDPR compliance at Sift. Regardless of vertical or job role, my favorite work has always been helping others on my team and delivering high-quality software.

Outside of work I have two very wonderful cats, I've been a dungeon master for over a decade, and I write about side projects on devhoolagin.

If you're looking for someone who:

Cares about the user experience. As much as anyone who spends time online, I know how bad it feels when software you use degrades in usability, performance, and quality. I want everything I work on to get better in all of those dimensions.
Leaves it better than I found it. Deleting old features while I work on new ones, and re-architecting small sections to keep them maintainable down the road. In the words of David Thomas and Andrew Hunt: “Don't leave broken windows unrepaired. Fix each one as soon as it is discovered.”
Lifts up their team. Five minutes of my time could save hours of yours. I want to lift up the people around me, because we're better as a team than as a set of individuals.
